Andy Anderson has raised livestock all his life, growing up in rural Missouri and building a career in agriculture. With a degree in Marketing and more than a decade of hog production experience, he operates Summerset Farms in Corder, MO. Andy is passionate about regenerative agriculture and preserving heritage breeds, especially the Gloucestershire Old Spots pig. Through GOSPBU, he is dedicated to educating others about the breed, preserving its future, and strengthening connections among breeders to grow awareness and appreciation for this remarkable breed.
Alexandra Doss

Alexandra Doss is the founder of Stellar Game Birds, Poultry & Waterfowl LLC in West Central Florida, where she is widely known as “The Quail Lady.” In addition to her extensive work with heritage poultry and game birds, she is a committed breeder of Gloucestershire Old Spots pigs, maintaining both pure UK and blended UK/US genetic lines to strengthen diversity and prevent inbreeding. Alexandra brings her expertise in genetics, compliance, record-keeping, and community education to her role with GOSPBU, helping advance the organization’s mission to support breeders and safeguard the future of this historic heritage breed.
Frankie Torres

Frankie owns a small family farm based in Southern Nevada who have spent years raising a variety of pig breeds. After working with several, they discovered the Gloucestershire Old Spot and quickly fell in love with the breed’s gentle nature and easygoing disposition. Today, they are proud and honored to play a role in the preservation of this remarkable heritage breed, ensuring its legacy continues for future generations.

Brandi Crunk owns and operates Evermore Ranch, LLC in Alabama, where she has spent nearly 20 years raising livestock with a focus on sustainability, land stewardship, and heritage genetics. While newer to the Gloucestershire Old Spot breed, she has quickly developed a passion for their preservation and their important role in heritage farming. Brandi is dedicated to careful record-keeping, responsible herd improvement, and community collaboration, and she is committed to ensuring that GOS pigs — along with other heritage breeds — remain strong and supported for future generations.

Caitlin DeBoer is a regenerative farmsteader and permaculture enthusiast whose use of animal husbandry has become essential for niche, small scale production. With an extensive background of naturopathy, effectively treating multi-species for over 15 years, choosing breeds that are able to not only live but thrive with minimal intervention and resiliency is essential for our success. The Gloucestershire Old Spots have been a game changer for our own farm and we are excited to be able to share, connect and grow this community through our common love and appreciation of this magnificent breed.
How the GOSPBU formed
In the summer of 2013, many Gloucestershire Old Spots (GOS) breeders were looking for a place to connect, share knowledge, and discuss the many aspects of raising GOS pigs. When a group of dedicated breeders came together to exchange ideas on improving the breed and supporting one another, the Gloucestershire Old Spots Pig Breeders United (GOSPBU) was born.
GOS breeders are passionate, innovative thinkers with truly valuable insights. Over the years, many excellent ideas have been shared, but not always acted upon. The GOSPBU was created to unite breeders, provide a platform to turn ideas into action, and ensure the long-term preservation and improvement of this rare and remarkable breed.
Our Purpose
The GOSPBU exists to:
- Share breeding and herd health information.
- Educate breeders and prospective members about cyclic breeding practices and the unique attributes of the GOS pig.
- Provide an easy-to-use tool for calculating the coefficient of inbreeding (CI), ensuring healthy and diverse bloodlines.
- Maintain an accurate herd book that traces back to the U.S. foundation stock.
- Register purebred GOS pigs while supporting both new and seasoned breeders in their efforts.
Membership in the GOSPBU includes unlimited access to our online CI calculator and the opportunity to connect with a supportive community of breeders. Applications can be completed and paid for securely online.

In 2025, the GOSPBU was reorganized to continue its mission with renewed focus and dedication. The Gloucestershire Old Spots pig is a rare breed—but it doesn’t have to remain that way.
