Our UK Chilthorne Princess Mary broke out of her farrowing pen Thursday night. Julie and I started feeding about 9am Friday morning and Julie starts yelling Princess Mary is gone Princess Mary is gone! I was stunned - it’s not like she can call a taxi. I started looking and found her right away. She when over to one of our empty greenhouses and popped out 14 live piglets. Julie found the one little gilt about 5 hours later that had crawled off into another pen of weaners. I have her on my lap and she is taking a nap after dinner. We put her back with her family this Saturday afternoon. I hope to have her as one of my sows next year. The sire is our UK Boar?? - Cottshill Rufus and Their CI is 0.0017.
